Supporting MSC

There are a number of ways that you can support Mansfield Secondary College. We welcome parent involvement in our Community School. As our rural school is close to the High Country, Mt Buller and the snow fields, we are fortunate due to our location and commitment of our staff, to offer a wide range of education and training programs, to support our students as they transition into adulthood. As such, due to the extensive nature of our training and educational programs, we welcome support from our school community across a number of areas as listed.

Camps & Excursions

Mansfield Secondary College often requires parent volunteers to help run our camps and excursions. The camps and excursions you may be able to offer your assistance in are:

  • Outdoor Education Camps: canoeing, mountain bike riding, rock climbing, and bush walking
  • Year 9 Pursuits Camp: Sheep Yard Flat, Lake Nillahcootie and/or Camp Howqua
  • Year 7 Camp: Camp Howqua
  • Sports Events: Zone and State competitions
  • Snow Sports Program: Each Wednesday in Term 3

Volunteering in the canteen is a great way to meet other parents from the school. Your children will love to visit you at the canteen windows too! You don’t need to have volunteered before – all training is provided. You will be working alongside a Canteen Supervisor as well as other volunteers.

If you are available, please contact the front office on 03 5775 2022. All volunteers must hold a current Working With Children Check Card.
