A vibrant learning environment which values achievement and success, empowers students to meet future challenges and is actively supported by the Community.
Mansfield Secondary College, is a small, rural Victorian school, close to Mt Buller and the snow fields, which offers a wide range of education and training programs to support our students as they transition into adulthood. Our students experience success in both VCE and VCAL learning programs, supported by high ATAR.
Students at our school are able to access the Australian School Based Apprenticeship program, with over one third of our senior students accessing vocational education off campus to support their academic progression at school. Career paths are mapped and education and training courses are designed to meet the needs to individual students. The result is that our students are able to articulate their career goals and work consistently towards them.
Both the natural environment and the school community provide opportunities for students to take their studies into the real world. An education and training program is provided, for example, to enable students to study certificate 2 in Agribusiness. The Agribusiness program, winner of a Victorian Schools Excellence Award includes farm-based experiences with local farmers. Similarly, students interested in the environment can undertake an education and training program in Adventure Challenge, supported by ‘Advance’ funding through the Office for Youth, or the Snow Sports program.
Our students are connected, passionate individuals and as a community school, we are proud to be involved with their achievements. The education and training programs that are offered by Mansfield Secondary College –VCE, VCAL and Australian School Based Apprenticeships Programs, form part of an extensive range of school programs.
